Warren: Doreen Marie (Donnelly) Eberle, age 82, died on Friday February 26, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Mrs. Eberle was born in Avoca PA and had resided in Elizabeth before moving to Warren over 60 years ago.
She had attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Elizabeth.
Prior to retiring Mrs. Eberle worked as an office manager for the family business, Henry A. Eberle Tile and Marble for over fifty years.
She enjoyed taking family boating trips, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Eberle loved flowers and was an avid gardener.
Mrs. Eberle is predeceased by her husband Henry A. Eberle in 2006 and brother Gervaise Donnelly.
She is survived by her children Kurt K. Eberle of Warren; Colleen K. Scarpa and her husband Dr. Philip Jr. of Cocoa Beach, FL and Henry A. Eberle and his wife Wendy W. of Warren; four grandchildren Philip J. Scarpa III, Henry P.K. Scarpa , Tyler W. Eberle and Lydia R. Eberle. She is also survived by one brother John Donnelly and his wife Barbara of Brick NJ.
Funeral sevices will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday March 2, 2009 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ followed by a 10 :00 am funeral mass at St. Vincent DePaul R.C. Church Stirling NJ. Interment to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Basking Ridge NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
