Martinsville: Ruth A. Savaryn, 78, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Karl and Estelle Jodouin Lindell, she resided in Perth, Ontario and Asbestos, Canada before moving to Martinsville in 1954.
Prior to retiring as an administrative assistant in 1993, she had worked for AT&T for 14 years in the ISDN Department.
Ruth was an active communicant and CCD teacher at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband Stanley A. Savaryn predeceased her in 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Peter C. (Pamela) Savaryn of North Plainfield and Joseph (Susan) of Brick; two brothers, Paul Lindell of Nova Scotia and Karl Lindell of Canada; two sisters, Claire Lindell and Victoria Donohue, both of Canada and three grandchildren, Ryan, James and Molly Savaryn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 9:00 - 10:00 am followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 300 Clinton Avenue in North Plainfield. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
