Obituary of Norma Schneider

Norma E. (Jones) Schneider, age 80, died on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Norma was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield. Prior to retiring, Norma was a Bookkeeper at Allstate in Green Brook, Murray Hill and most recently Bridgewater. Norma was very active in North Plainfield and was part of her Alumni Committee Class of 1953, the North Plainfield High School Historical Society and was a member of the North Plainfield High School Hall of Fame Committee. In her spare time she enjoyed watching the Yankees and the NY Giants. Norma enjoyed going out to dinner and especially to her favorite place Pepe's Italian Restaurant where she had a standing reservation. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Robert Schneider in 2012. Survived by her children Sally Miller and her husband David, Robert Puckett and his wife Jane, Raymond Puckett and Jennifer Carley and her husband Stephen; grandchildren Melissa Paczos and her husband Aleksander, Lindsay Miller and her fiancé Greg Thompson, Jessica Puckett, Kevin Puckett, Jeffrey Puckett, Samantha Carley, Kelsey Miller, Robert Puckett, Brendan Carley, Shane Carley and Finnian Carley. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an interment at Lake Nelson Cemetery, Piscataway. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, ALZ.org.
