Obituary of Sharon Evelyn Moore

Sharon Evelyn Moore Sharon Evelyn Moore died gently and peacefully on September 16, 2016. Born in Queens, NY, Sharon grew up in Mamaroneck, NY and also lived in Scarsdale, NY, Greenwich, CT and Warren, NJ. She was a graduate of the State University at Albany and received her Master's Degree from Hunter College in NYC. During her career as a French teacher, she served as president of the NYS Association of Foreign Language Teachers, was honored as the NYS French Teacher of the Year and co-authored a French textbook. A devout Catholic, she took great pleasure in helping out at her church in whatever way was needed. Preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Evelyn Moore, her youngest sister, Elizabeth and her nephew Philip. She is survived by her sisters', Susan (Roy) and Donna (Neil) as well as 5 nieces, 1 nephew, 5 great-nieces, 7 great-nephews and 2 great-great nephews. She is also survived by 2 aunts, an uncle, many cousins as well as wonderful friends ,among them, Bernice Essenfeld, her life long friend. Sharon was a wonderful beautiful person,,,,,we loved her deeply and will miss her dearly. Should anyone wish to, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's' Association in her honor. A Mass of Resurrection was held on Thursday, September 22nd at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
