Obituary of Phyllis Piazza

Phyllis (DeLuca) Piazza, 85, of Watchung, formerly of Long Beach, NY, on Friday October 14, 2016 at Brandywine Senior Living in Watchung NJ. Wife of the late Joseph Piazza; mother of Vivian Piazza, Grace Gildea, Joan Coote. Grandmother of Alessandra, Andrew, Gabriela, Peter, Allison. Phyllis was born in Brooklyn, attended The McDowell School of Design on a scholastic scholarship and worked in NYC's fashion district as a dress designer. Phyllis, along with her husband Joseph, was an opera lover and patron of Lincoln Center. Viewing will be held on Thursday October 20, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. Funeral services will begin at 10 am on Friday at the funeral home followed by 11 am mass of the resurrection at St. Mary's Stony Hill RC Church in Watchung. The interment will be at the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Homeside Hospice 67 Walnut Ave. #205 Clark, NJ 07066.
