Obituary of Robert Kayel

Robert G. Kayel Watchung: Robert G. Kayel, age 79, died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home in Watchung. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Watchung since 1975. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Math in 1958 from Franklin and Marshall College and his Master's Degree from Michigan State University in 1961. He then went on to earn a PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1971. Mr. Kayel was a Computer Scientist for Bell Labs in Murray Hill. He enjoyed swimming, bridge but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Jeannette Kayel; his sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and, Kristina Kayel and Kenneth and Nicola Kayel and his grandchildren, Katelyn, age 4, Christopher, age 2 and Karsten, age 1. He is also survived by his sister, Janet Kayel. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm and 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
