Obituary of Bruno R. Ripp

Warren: Bruno R. Ripp, age 83, died on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson at Somerset in Somerville. He was born in Littleton, New Hampshire and raised in Staten Island and had lived in Warren for 32 years. Mr. Ripp served in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was a computer programmer for AT&T in New York City and Piscataway. He enjoyed golf, gardening , politics and was an advocate for the disenfranchised. Mr. Ripp is predeceased by a grandson, Andrew Ripp; a sister, Aino Carstens and his brothers, Heino Ripp and Hugo Ripp. Surviving are his loving companion of 37 years, Patricia O'Leary; his sons, Russell Ripp and Robert Ripp; his daughter, Trisha Borman and her husband, Geoffrey; his siblings, Oie Sokota, Edward Ripp, Rudolph Ripp, Helen Carstens and his grandchildren, Robert and Anna. he is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 5 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday at 12:00 pm before a 12:30 service. Cremation is private.
