Obituary of Kenneth Baader

Kenneth W. Baader, Sr. (Case), age 95, died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Newark, he grew up in Irvington, moved to Neptune, before moving to North Plainfield in 1963. Kenneth served in the army during World War II, he served in the North Africa Theater. He was also part of the military police and a prison guard. Prior to retiring Kenneth was a commercial artist and display representative for PSE&G in Springfield for 40 years. He was very involved with St. Luke's Church as an usher. In his spare time he enjoyed building models and loved spending time with his family. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years Marie D. (Cooke) Baader; his sons Kenneth W. Baader, Jr. and William J. Baader; his daughters Susan M. Baader, Marianne D. Farnham and her husband Kevin and Beth A. Fabian and her husband William L.; grandchildren Matthew Prioli-Baader, Victoria Garcia, Nicholas Farnham and Sarah M. Fabian; great-grandchildren Nikolas, Callie and Loren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Church, North Plainfield. Interment is at a later date at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to: St. Luke's Church, 300 Clinton Ave., North Plainfield, NJ 07060.
