John Corsaro

Obituary of John A. Corsaro

On February 27th, 2017, John A. Corsaro from Bridgewater, New Jersey, passed away at the age of 59 at Morristown Medical Center after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. John will be missed by his loving wife, children, parents, family, friends and colleagues – all of whose lives he touched in different ways. Born in Brooklyn, New York, John spent most of his childhood years in East Brunswick, New Jersey where the Corsaro family made lifetime friends and memories. In 1992, John and his wife Jo Ann built their own home and settled in Bridgewater, where they raised two daughters. 25 years later, the home remains filled with family and memories of the proud life he lived. Some of John's most admirable qualities were his ambition and work ethic, which started at the University of Dayton where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; while running his own tailgating business and as a member of the golf team. He then went on to achieve a Master of Science Degree from PACE University. Young, talented and eager, John entered his career as a certified public accountant. He spent 27 years of his career at CohnReznick, where he achieved the level of Managing Partner at their New Jersey Tax Practice. John was an avid golfer and over the course of the 27 years he dedicated to CohnReznick, he used his skill and love for the game to Chair the CohnReznick Foundation Charitable Golf Invitational. He gave his heart and soul to this Foundation which was celebrated at the 25th Anniversary Event held at the prestigious Liberty National Gold Club. He made everyone proud, because he was more than a colleague and golf partner. John was a mentor, friend and inspiration to all of those who surrounded him. John leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Jo Ann M. Corsaro; 2 daughters, Kaitlin A. Corsaro and Jessica M. Corsaro Kaingu and her husband Daniel; parents Vincent and Anna Corsaro; and 2 brothers Bartholomew and Vincent Corsaro. John also leaves behind two aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family members and loving friends. Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. and on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 from 4-8p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, New Jersey. A private service will be held on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Martinsville, New Jersey. Please send all condolences to www.higginsfuneralhome.com. It was John's wish that one day a cure for pancreatic cancer would be discovered. The Corsaro Crew participated on June 4th, 2016, in the Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Walk at Monmouth University for this cause. In addition, John whole heartedly and adamantly supported the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in John's name at www.lustgarten.org for pancreatic cancer research and at http://specialops.org to honor his legacy and charitable heart.
