Obituary of James Patrick Matullo

James Patrick Matullo, age 53, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Hospital in Newark. He was a lifelong resident of Watchung and a member of the Washington Valley Fire Company. Jim was an exceptional athlete in high school and was a member of the Watchung Hills Regional High School soccer team. Fishing was a lifelong passion for Jim enjoying both fresh and salt water surf fishing. He is predeceased by his father Frank T. Matullo in 2006. Jim is survived by his mother Mary Matullo of Watchung; his brother Frank and his wife Lori of Whitehouse Station; his nephews Michael, Jesse and Justin. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 PM. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
