Obituary of Anne M. Owens
Anne M. "Nancy" Owens, age 91, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at her home in North Plainfield. Born and raised in Plainfield, she graduated from Plainfield High School class of 1944. Nancy moved to North Plainfield in 1952, where she had resided until her death.
Nancy was employed with United National Bank in Plainfield for 17 years as an Assistant Vice President.
She was a member of St. Luke's Church in North Plainfield for over 50 years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, was an avid NY Yankees fan, socializing with friends and loved spending time with her dogs and family.
Predeceased by her husband Maurice A. Owens in 1976.
Survived by her son Dr. Michael Owens and his wife Maribeth of Waltham, MA, her daughter Patricia A. Owens of North Plainfield; 1 grandchild Kelly and 5 great-grandchildren all of Westwood, MA; niece Mary Frances Casserly, loving friend Jean Carr and her dear caretaker Juliette.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 9 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Luke's Church, North Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
