Obituary of Dorothy H. Kellogg

Dorothy H. (Harasty) Kellogg, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Elizabeth, she had resided in Westfield for many years before moving to Watchung 13 years ago.

Dotty attended Russell Sage College, she worked as a Secretary at Dartmouth College. Dotty was a professional knitter who made over 600 hats and blankets for children undergoing chemo therapy treatments and hundreds of sweaters for family and friends. She was a member of the Echo Lake Country Club where she loved to golf. She enjoyed the Jersey Shore and spent many summers at her home in Normandy Beach with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling. She was a proud grandmother who enjoyed watching and hearing about all of her grandchildrens accomplishments.

Survived by her loving of 63 years husband C. Burton Kellogg, II; her children Katherine Kellogg-Williams and her husband Thomas, Patricia Crawford and Peter Kellogg and his wife Mary; grandchildren Jennifer Force and Melissa LaRosa, Molly, Elaine and Sean Kellogg.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
