Barbara Rosen passed away peacefully at home with her family at 6:08 p.m. on January 29, 2018. She was a loving, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Barbara was a member of Temple Sholom in Scotch Plains, where she served as Temple Librarian for seventeen years. She also greatly enjoyed her time with the "Women on Their" own group, and treasured her friendships. She was a longtime member of the seniors at the JCC in Edison, where she served as treasurer, and secretary. Earlier in life, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a dedicated charter member, and former President of the South Plainfield Chapter of B'nai Brith Women. Most of all, she was a "super" Mom, devoted to raising her girls.
Barbara leaves behind two daughters, Pamela Sue Carringer and Sarita Ann Garcia, son-in-law John Garcia, her grandson Matthew Carringer, her great-granddaughter Freyalise Carringer, her best friend of 50 years, Mary Luber, and many other beloved friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Temple Sholom in Scotch Plains, with burial services to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetary in Iselin.
