Obituary of Michael Eber

Michael Eber, age 80, passed away at his home in Tewksbury on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Born and raised in Plainfield, he had resided in Warren before moving to Tewksbury 20 years ago. Michael attended Nichols College in Dudley, MA. He served in the Army for a short time, leaving after the death of his father to help his mother run the family business. Michael was the owner of Eber's Furniture in North Plainfield for 60 years before recently retiring. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, playing golf, exotic cars and was a member of Stanton Ridge Country Club in Whitehouse Station. Survived by his wife Linda Bracht Eber; children Mallory Huberman and her husband Bruce, Merritt Edleman and her husband Wayne and Marley Israel; 6 grandchildren; a sister Babs Bernstein; niece Meredith Kotler and nephew Douglas Bernstein; 3 step-sons, 1 step-daughter and multiple step-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.
