Obituary of Armen D. Mancini

Armen D. Mancini, age 63 died on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 in Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, Armen was raised in Plainfield and then moved to Middlesex 31 years ago. He was employed by Public Service Electric and Gas at Springfield in their Sales Department. He retired in 1999 after 36 years of employment. He was a communicant of St. Johns R.C. Church in Dunellen. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Armen was active in the Westfield Y and volunteered at Fish, Inc. He enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons and playing golf with his friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Armen Mancini in 1976 and Mary (Meale) Mancini in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Oliva) Mancini of Middlesex. His son, James Mancini and his wife Dawn of Alexandria, VA; his daughter, Marie Kushnir and her husband David of North Plainfield; his brother, Thomas Mancini of San Diego CA; his brother-in-law, Joseph Oliva of Irvington, VA. Three grandsons, Christian, Dominic and Alex. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 8:15 a.m. from the Higgins "Home For Funerals", 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 9 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Johns R.C. Church in Dunellen. Visitation will be on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
