Julie McClean, age 82 passed away on Saturday September 12, 2020, at her daughters’ home in Warren, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY she had been a lifelong resident. Julie lived a happy, faith filled life devoted to God and her family. The legacy of her life is one of love and care for others. She made anyone who came into her life feel special. Julie worked for many years as the Assistant Manager at Augustana Lutheran Home for The Aged, where she was adored and trusted by the residents. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Brooklyn. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching Turner Movie Classics, long walks and going to the beach. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Donald McClean in 1991, her son Donald in 1963 and her brother William Dorney. Survived by her children Howard McClean, Keith McClean and his wife Christine, Geralyn McClean-Hansen and her husband Robert; grandchildren Ryan, Alexander, Robert, Brooke, Megan and Aubrey; brother James Dorney. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral gathering will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village Queens.
