Obituary of Jennie M. Siegrist
Jennie Marie Siegrist, age 79 died on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at her home in Watchung. She was born in Dunellen and had lived in Watchung for the past 53 years. She was the daughter of the late Louis Perrotta and Lillian May Looram of Dunellen. Mrs. Siegrist was a member of the Watchung Exempt Firemans Ladies Auxiliary, The Wilson Memorial Ladies Guild in Watchung, The Red Hat Society, Chapter Gadabouts Watchung and the Watchung Seniors. She was a volunteer for the Somerset County Election Board for over 30 years. Jennie enjoyed traveling, Atlantic City, cards and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Jacob Siegrist in 1987. Surviving are her 8 children and 15 grandchildren: Son, Raymond Siegrist and his wife Susan Shute and their children, Brian and Jamie of Demarest, NJ; daughter Janet Critelli and her husband Raymond and their children, Lisa and Jeffrey of Grand Island, NY; daughter Beverly McKittrick and her husband Michael and their son, Jacob of Washington, GA; son Bruce Siegrist and his wife Linda Bartlett and their daughters, Christine and Debbie of Sacramento, CA; son, Michael Siegrist and his wife Amy Shute and their children Michael and Claire of Branchburg, NJ; daughter, Karen Gilbert and her husband, Gary and their sons, Stephen and Kevin of Whitehouse Station, NJ; daughter Lori Guadagno and her husband, Joseph and their sons Luca and Peter of Summit, NJ and son Ernest Siegrist and his wife Emily Keeley and their children, Maxwell and Savannah of Davidsonville, MD. Also surviving are her sisters, Mary Koncer and her husband, Joe of Monroe Twp., originally from Green Brook, Ann Migneco and her husband John of Newark, NJ, Kathleen Mollica of Seville, OH and her brother Louis Perrotta and his wife, Dorys of Williamstown, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2006 at 8:45 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Stony Hill Church in Watchung. Entombment will be at St. Marys Stony Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9.
