It was with sadness that I heard about the passing of Mr .Hall. We met and talked on a number of occasions when he came to the Abraham Staats House, where he told us about his family link to Abraham, and his ancestry. Such a truly nice gentleman, and someone who clearly cherished his family and friends and enjoyed a love of history. On behalf of the Friends of Abraham Staats House, our deep condolences to the family. ~Kathy Ormosi

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Bob. I have known Bob for many years with the old Metal Detecting group called BRAVO. We spent many hours metal detecting the Monmouth Battlefield with the group. I especially remember spending lots of hours detecting the Rutgers woods in New Brunswick. We would always break for lunch but finding Bob wasn't easy. All I had to do was smell the air and find him sitting on a log eating a can of Sardines. We shared a lot of laughs talking about all the Digs that We went on over the years. I remember one time shortly after Hurricane Sandy, Bob was trying to crawl under a big fallen tree which crossed the small stream. I was on top of the hill and all I could see was Bobs Feet sticking out. I almost fell down the hill laughing while He was trying to crawl out. We used to call each other on Monday night to watch Antiques Roadshow. I can go on and on about Bob but the most thing that amazed me was the stamina that Bob had.
I will Miss him.
Your Buddy Tim Reno.

Dear Steven, Janice and Lauren,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Bobby was such a wonderful and amazing person. I will always remember our many conversations about ancestry and all the things he taught me about our family history. I still have pictures of all the charts he shared with me all carefully drawn out by hand. On one occassion we met up at the Abraham Staats house for a re-enactment. He was so full of knowledge about all of our ancestors there and the role they played in history. I always enjoyed the time we spent.
Please know our hearts and prayers are with you during the difficult time.
With Love,
Nora
