Robert Hagel

Obituary of Robert Michael Hagel

Robert Michael Hagel, a devoted father, skilled craftsman, and passionate outdoorsman, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the age of 59.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Robert was raised in Fair Lawn and later spent time in Jersey City before making Warren, New Jersey, his home for many years. Eventually, he embraced the warm breezes of North Palm Beach, Florida, where he settled seven years ago.

A graduate of Lyndhurst High School, Robert had a hardworking spirit and a hands-on approach to life. Over the years, he worked in construction, ran a Thumann’s route, and most recently managed a medical transport company in Florida. No matter the job, Robert’s meticulous nature ensured that if he built it, fixed it, or worked on it, it was done right. His knack for precision made him the go-to person whenever something needed to be repaired—because if Robert did it, it was built to last.

Robert had a lifelong love for motorcycles and cars, with a particular appreciation for classic and American muscle cars. He felt most at home outdoors, whether he was fishing, boating, or simply enjoying nature. He found joy in the little things—feeding the deer, being on the water, and caring for his three beloved cats. But above all else, his greatest pride and joy in life were his children, Mia and Christian, whom he loved beyond measure.

Robert was predeceased by his father, Paul Hagel. He is survived by his children, Mia and Christian, and his former wife, Anastasia Hagel. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Carol Hagel; his siblings, Debbie Hagel and Chris Hagel; his partner, Dena Militello; and his cherished nieces, Janelle and Giovanna.

In honor of Robert’s love for wildlife and the outdoors, memorial donations may be made to Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Robert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his ability to fix just about anything, and his deep love for his family. He lived life with a quiet strength and a skilled hand, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship, adventure, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
