Obituary of Joseph John Paris, Jr.
Joseph John Paris Jr., 77, of Bound Brook, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at CareOne in Bound Brook. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Joseph was raised in Bloomfield before settling in Bound Brook in 1982, where he built a life centered around family, friendships, and his love of sports.
A proud graduate of Bloomfield High School, Joseph pursued his higher education at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On April 4, 1976, he married the love of his life, Marianne Ford Paris, with whom he shared a devoted partnership for nearly five decades.
Joseph was a longtime member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook.
Sports were a lifelong passion for Joseph, and his enthusiasm extended beyond the spectator’s seat—he was an accomplished golfer. As a club champion at both Harker Hollow Golf Club and Forest Hill Field Club, he found joy in competition and camaraderie on the greens. His love for golf took him on memorable journeys, including a special trip to Ireland to play on its famed courses. In addition to his love of golf, he also enjoyed traveling to favorite destinations such as Florida and Las Vegas, where he embraced new experiences and treasured time with loved ones.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Marianne Paris; his sister, Suzette Faig; and her husband, Paul; his nephew, Timothy Faig; and his wife, Sueli; and his niece, Jennifer Garrido; and her husband, Ruben. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. Paris Sr. and Wanda Paris. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, located at the corner of Watchung Avenue and Jackson Avenue in North Plainfield, NJ 07060. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Joseph’s generosity and kindhearted spirit.
Joseph will be remembered for his warmth, sense of adventure, and the many cherished moments he shared with those who knew him best. May he rest in peace.
