Obituary of Pasqualina Holzhauer

Pasqualina Holzhauer

March 31, 1939 – May 26, 2025

Pasqualina Holzhauer passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, on March 31, 1939, to the late Joseph and Teresa Bencivenga, Pasqualina was raised in Plainfield and later settled in Middlesex, where she devoted herself to raising her family of five boys. In her later years, she moved to Monmouth Junction to be closer to her loved ones.

Pasqualina was the true heart of her home. A devoted mother, she considered raising her sons the greatest joy and purpose of her life. Her home was always warm with love, tradition, and the comforting aroma of her exceptional cooking. She was known for her kindness, her strength, and her deep devotion to family.

She also had a special love for animals, particularly her cherished Chihuahua, Hershey, and more recently her rescued cat, Wendy who remained faithfully by her side. Her compassion extended beyond her family to all creatures, and her home was often a sanctuary for both people and pets alike.

Pasqualina is survived by her five beloved sons: Anthony, James, Richard, Christopher, and Brian and his wife Carol. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her dear niece Sherry Healey and her husband Mike. She shared an especially close bond with her two sisters, Frieda Bertram and Ann Kramer, who recently passed away, and whose memories she held close to her heart.

In keeping with Pasqualina’s wishes, cremation services will be held privately.
