Frederick A. Diehl, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1929, Frederick spent most of his life in New Jersey, later living in Florida with his daughter and then in Virginia with his son. He proudly served in the United States Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and went on to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, dedicating his career to helping others through natural healing and care.

Frederick had a deep love for the outdoors and travel. He cherished the time spent at his house in the Poconos, hiking, canoeing, and skiing. He and his family explored the country by travel trailer, making unforgettable memories from Maine to Disney World in Florida. One of his favorite adventures was four-wheeling along the sandy shores of Assateague Island.

A passionate photographer, Frederick began with traditional film and developed his own pictures in a home darkroom, proudly displaying his work throughout the house. As technology evolved, he was among the first to embrace the personal computer, eventually transitioning to digital photography. He shared his knowledge by teaching Photoshop at the senior center.

Frederick enjoyed home improvement projects and was always working on something to enhance his home. His optimism was unwavering—he had a unique ability to find the good in any situation and often said, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Zaidee Tennery Diehl, and his parents, Frederick W. and Gertrude Diehl.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Fallone, and her husband Alan, and their children: Andrew Fallone; Michelle Lombardi and her husband Christopher, and their son Oliver Lombardi; and Eric Fallone. He is also survived by his son, Frederick W. Diehl, and his wife Elisabetta Babolin, and their children: Alex Diehl and Emily Diehl.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
