Patricia D. Stamm died peacefully on January 23, 2026. She was a long-time congregant of St. Mary’s Stoneyhill Roman Catholic Church. She resided at The Delaney of Bridgewater Assisted Living. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Wolfgang, on April 21, 2020. She is survived by her daughter Monica, son Paul, and wife Michele; son Karl and wife Susan; and grandchildren Jack, Ryan, William, and Nicholas.
Patricia was born in Newark and attended Our Lady of Good Council High School and then St. Michael’s Hospital Nursing School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and after having her children, she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from New York University in New York City.
Patricia worked for the Radium Research Project, the state-led initiative that investigated the long-term health effects of radium exposure on former industrial workers, many of whom were referred to as the "Radium Girls”. Patricia ran a hypertension screening program in East Orange for the County of Essex, NJ; was an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University College of Nursing; and, for many years, was a school Nurse for the Kings Daughters Day School in Plainfield, NJ.
Pat, as her friends called her, enjoyed attending Book Clubs and participating in literary discussions. She was an avid painter and enjoyed gardening and knitting.
Her passing has left a void in her family’s lives of which will never be filled.
