Judith (Pearson) Jones
October 15, 1958 – March 20, 2026
Judith (Pearson) Jones passed away on March 20, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, and woman of deep faith, she lived a life centered on caring for others and cherishing her family.
She was born on October 15, 1958, to the late Thomas A. Pearson Sr. and Norma Weiss Pearson. She grew up in a close-knit family that remained an important part of her life.
Judy graduated from North Plainfield High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from William Paterson University. She dedicated her career to pediatric nursing, serving at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, and Edison Pediatrics in Edison, where she touched the lives of countless children and their families. She was known throughout Central Jersey as “Nurse Judy,” one half of the iconic “Rudy and Judy” duo.
A lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in North Plainfield, Judy’s faith was a steady foundation throughout her life.
She lived in North Plainfield and Bridgewater for many years before later residing in Toms River, where she remained close to the Jersey Shore she loved.
At the heart of Judy’s life were her family, her faith, and the beach.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Jones; her daughters, Megan Jones, Katie Orangeo and her husband Louis, and Tracey Jones; and her cherished grandson, Loulou.
She is also survived by her sister, Diane Scannelli; her brother, George Scott Pearson and his wife Suzanne; her sister-in-law Susan Craft and brother-in-law John Craft; and extended family including her niece Tara Gleason and her husband Tim, her nephews Thomas A. Pearson III and his wife Kim, her godson Eric Craft, and Daniel Craft; as well as her great-nephews Dylan Vitale, Timothy Gleason Jr., Ryan Gleason, and Thomas A. Pearson IV, and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, her mother; her brother, Thomas A. Pearson Jr., and his wife Peggy Pearson; her sister, Lynn Pearson; her brother-in-law, John Scannelli; and her nephew, Timothy Pearson.
Judy will be remembered for her compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to others. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved deeply and in the many lives she touched.
To know her was to be loved by her.
