Raymond Kenneth Ochse Obituary
Raymond Kenneth Ochse passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. He was 72 years old.
Born in Bergenfield, New Jersey, on April 9, 1954, Raymond was the son of the late Raymond and Doris Ochse. He grew up in Bergenfield and was a graduate of Bergenfield High School. He later resided in Plainfield before moving to Watchung in 2011.
Raymond was the owner and operator of RKO Homes LLC in Watchung, New Jersey, a property management company he ran for many years before retiring in 2024. His work was a natural extension of the things he loved most. Raymond had a true passion for renovating older and historic homes, as well as construction and hands-on projects of all kinds. He found great satisfaction in bringing new life to old homes, and he built a career doing what came most naturally to him.
In addition to his work, Raymond enjoyed sailing and traveling, both of which brought him much happiness over the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Lindenmeier; his stepchildren, Michael Hild and his wife Cristine, Erin Sautello and her husband Joseph, and Elissa Hild and her husband David Hernandez; his cherished grandchildren, Collin, Ethan, and Brennan Hild, and Callie and Madison Sautello; and his siblings, James Fagan, Barry Fagan, Sheryl Morrow, Susie Walker, and Jeannie Hoffman.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, New Jersey. Cremation services will be held privately.
C.L.A.W.S. is a 501 (c)(3) Animal Rescue Organization that has been operating since 1969 serving New Jersey's Bergen & Hudson Counties. C.L.A.W.S. consists of a group of Board Members and Volunteers who devote their time and efforts into rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing unwanted, stray or abandoned animals. We have no paid employees and receive no state funding. We exist solely on donations and money made from fundraisers held throughout each year. We are not a shelter. All animals in our care are safely cared for in foster homes throughout the area and are given medical care from local veterinarians. We take pride in our work and in making a difference in the lives of rescue animals.
