Philip Peter Schoen Obituary
Philip Peter Schoen, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his home in Watchung.
Born on December 5, 1990, in Summit, Philip was the beloved son of Piotr and Regina Schoen. He was raised in Berkeley Heights, where he spent most of his life before moving to Watchung three years ago.
Philip graduated from Governor Livingston High School and continued his education at Raritan Valley Community College, where he studied criminal justice. He was employed by Tip Top Wood Products in Rahway, a company involved in woodworking and custom building products and installations. Philip took pride in his work and was known for being dependable, hardworking, and willing to help others whenever needed.
Philip found peace and happiness in the simple things in life. He loved raising chickens, enjoying both the fresh eggs they provided and the sound of the roosters crowing each morning. He had a passion for gardening and carefully tended both flower and vegetable gardens at his home. An avid animal lover, Philip cared deeply for the many cats he had throughout the years and especially adored his loyal Rottweiler, Rosie.
He also enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and spending time outdoors whenever he could. Philip had a fascination with airplanes from a young age and always dreamed of becoming a pilot. Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet appreciation for nature, animals, and the people he loved.
Above all, Philip cherished his family.
He is survived by his loving parents, Piotr and Regina Schoen, and by his beloved sister, Isabella Schoen.
Philip’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
