Carole Ann Juth Obituary

Carole A. Juth

Carole A. Juth, of Martinsville, New Jersey, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday morning, May 22, 2026.

Born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Carole was the daughter of the late Orlando and Marianna Roma. She grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, where the values of family, faith, education, and community first became an important part of her life. In 1968, Carole moved to Edison, New Jersey, and later settled in Martinsville in 1977, where she raised her family and became a cherished and valued member of the community she called home for many years.

Carole had a lifelong love of learning and teaching. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Geneva College in Pennsylvania and later went on to receive her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kean University in Union, New Jersey. Her calling as an educator was evident in the care, patience, and dedication she brought to her students each day. Carole taught kindergarten at School 23 in Avenel for more than 25 years before her retirement, leaving a lasting impression on generations of young children and their families. She had a true gift for teaching and a natural ability to make children feel encouraged, capable, and loved.

Even after retiring from the classroom, Carole continued to give of herself to others. Wanting to remain active and involved in her community, she volunteered for many years running the Martinsville Library, a role she loved deeply. She enjoyed spending time there and took great pride in helping maintain a welcoming place for neighbors, readers, and families. Carole also served on the board of the Martinsville Community Center, further reflecting her commitment to the town and the people around her.

Carole’s passion for teaching extended well beyond the school setting. She enjoyed teaching exercise classes in Bridgewater, including at the JCC and the Bridgewater Senior Center, where she shared her energy, encouragement, and enthusiasm with others. Whether in a classroom, a library, a community center, or an exercise class, Carole found joy in bringing people together and helping them grow.

Faith was also an important part of Carole’s life. She was a longtime parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, where she faithfully attended Mass and found strength in her deep and abiding Catholic faith.

Carole was also wonderfully talented with her hands and heart. She was an amazing baker and loved to cook for her family and friends. She was an expert quilter, and her family is blessed to have many beautiful blankets and keepsakes that will continue to serve as reminders of her love, creativity, and care. She was also skilled at sewing, and the many pieces she created over the years reflected both her talent and the thoughtfulness she put into everything she did.

Above all else, Carole’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and dear friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, her devotion to her community, and the steady love she gave to those fortunate enough to know her.

Carole is survived by her beloved husband, Harley Juth; her two sons, David Juth and his wife, Terrell, and Stephen Juth and his wife, Jeanine; and her five cherished grandchildren, Nathan and his wife, Maggie, Christian, Damian, Benjamin, and Caleb. She was predeceased by her brother, James Roma.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, New Jersey.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, New Jersey.
