Arthur C. Folli Obituary

Arthur C. Folli of Warren, New Jersey died on Saturday June 6th, 2026.  He is the Son of Luigia and Artaserse Folli who Predeceased him.


Born in 1929 in Orange, New Jersey.


Athur was Valedictorian of his Orange High school Class and Class President.


Arthur received a full academic ROTC Naval Scholarship to Princeton University.


Arthur was Princeton Class President and graduated Princeton with Honors in 1951, where he Majored in Economics and Engineering.


After Princeton University, Arthur served in the Navy as Naval Officer.


After the Naval Service, Arthur graduated from Harvard Business School in 1956 with MBA in Finance and Production and continued in Naval Reserves for many years.


Arthur started his business career for Johns Manville Corporation in the Finance Department as Assistant Controller.  At Johns Manville he met his beautiful wife Peggy and was married for over 60 Years until her passing in 2024.


Arthur was also an inventor, and received four patents from the Bureau of Patents, Washington, DC.


Arthur worked for over 30 years as an Executive for Mobil Oil Corporation holding many positions. On behalf of Mobil Oil Corporation, Arthur represented Mobil Corp. in testimony to US House of Representatives Committees concerning wages and employee benefits policy.  He was a frequent lecturer for finance and benefits for the AMA American Management Association conferences, Executive Benefits Associations, and many associations for policies, procedures relating to finance, compensation, and employee benefits.  He was a contributing writer to the book called “Employee Benefits Handbook” and authoring chapters on international employee compensation book published by University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School in 1984 and updated in 1988.


From 1985 to 1993, Arthur worked for Mobil Corporation affiliate company Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia as Director.  While overseas with Mobil Corporation, the family visited more than 40 countries.


After Retirement from ExxonMobil, Arthur established a consulting company for employee benefits and finance that consulted for various companies in New York City.  Arthur was very active in the Catholic Church in Waren, NJ and was honored in 2019 as a Knight Commander of the Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre, at which time his beloved wife Margaret (Peggy) Folli was honored with Dame title.  Honors were bestowed by Cardinal Edwin Frederick O’ Brien.


Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy with rank of Lieutenant Commander Supply Officer on destroyer ship USS Forest Royal DD 872 and received a letter of commendation from the Commander of Destroyer Force, US Atlantic Fleet.  This was followed by appointment as Deputy Contract Officer for the Third Naval District of New York City.


He was a long standing member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Princeton Club of New York, The Nassau Club in Princeton, the Harvard Business School Club of New York, The Princeton Terrace Club, the Knights of Columbus, and American Legion.  Arthur was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church in Warren, New Jersey and serving and helping the Church.


Arthur is survived by his beloved son Gregory, his wife Leslie, and Granddaughter Paige.  Also survived by four Nieces and one Nephew, eight grand Nieces, three grand nephews and Cousins.


His beloved wife Margaret (Peggy), daughter Megan, and Son Arthur and siblings Amelia Folli, Louise Gozidlow, Gloria Colalillo, Angela Folli, and Albert Folli predeceased him.


The Funeral Mass will Be held at Our lady of the Mount Catholic Church in Warren, New Jersey on Friday 6/12/26 at 11am, and the viewing will be at the Higgins Funeral home in Watchung, NJ at 3pm to 7PM on Thursday 6/11/26.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen
