Timothy Lamparello Obituary

Timothy Lamparello

Timothy Lamparello, 60, of Martinsville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born on February 11, 1966, to the late Anthony Joseph and Dorothy Elizabeth Lamparello. He grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey, while also spending cherished time between Bayonne and his family’s beloved farm in Sussex County, New Jersey. The property, affectionately known as “Lucky Lamp Ranch,” held many fond memories for Tim and was where he developed his lifelong love of nature, hunting, and fishing.

After marrying the love of his life, Emma, Tim and Emma first made their home in Berkeley Heights before moving to Martinsville 27 years ago, where they raised their family and became part of the community.

Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and later received a degree in computer networking engineering from the Chubb Institute. He spent much of his professional career with EGL, a family-owned neon tubing, gas, and products company, where he excelled as a mechanical engineer and later as quality assurance manager. Tim was a dedicated employee who contributed greatly to the neon industry. His deep knowledge of neon, glass, electrodes, and gas discharge lamps was well known and respected. He held several patents, including one for electrodes for gas discharge lamps and emission coatings, for which the company graciously allowed his name to be included. Tim was also acknowledged in The Book of Neon Techniques, which he consulted on and to which he contributed his expertise. After leaving EGL, Tim continued working for a time as a computer consultant.

Tim was a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Martinsville. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and throughout his life he remained connected to the outdoors. He loved spending time at Swartswood Lake, enjoyed a good meal, and was known as quite a foodie. Ever young at heart, Tim especially loved Disney World and made many memorable trips there with his family. He was also a dedicated New York Giants fan.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Emma; his son, Joseph Lamparello; and his daughter, Melissa Lamparello, and her fiancé, Shaughn Layton. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Joseph and Dorothy Elizabeth Lamparello, and his brother, Anthony.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Martinsville, New Jersey.

Cremation services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim’s loving memory to the American Kidney Fund.
