Carol M. Conroy

Carol M. Conroy, 83, of North Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.

Carol was born on July 11, 1942, to the late Arthur and Maude Schimer. She grew up in Denville, New Jersey, and later resided in Stockton before moving to North Plainfield 44 years ago. It was there that she raised her family, built a home, and became an involved and valued member of the community.

Carol will be remembered as a woman of great dedication, quiet strength, and remarkable work ethic. She was a longtime and devoted employee of the law offices of Lerner, David, Littenberg, Krumholz & Mentlik, an intellectual property and patent law firm in Westfield, New Jersey. Carol worked there for more than 40 years, giving the same care, reliability, and commitment to her professional life that she brought to every part of her life. Her many years of service were a reflection of her loyalty, dependability, and the pride she took in a job well done.

In addition to her work, Carol was deeply dedicated to her faith and her church community. She was an active and longtime member of the Plainfield Christian Science Church, where she attended services twice a week, volunteered in the church office, and formed many meaningful and lasting friendships. Her church was an important part of her life, providing her with fellowship, purpose, and a place where she felt truly connected.

Carol also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending to flowers and plants with care and patience. She was also known to enjoy shopping on the Home Shopping Network, always keeping an eye out for something special. Above all, Carol cherished time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were an important part of her life, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent J. Conroy, in September of 2011. She is survived by her two sons, James Conroy and his wife, Jackie, and Dan Conroy and his wife, Jessica. She is also survived by her four cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Zachary, Dan Jr., and Sadie.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday July, 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069
