Obituary of Domenick John Masuelli

Domenick Masuelli, 94, of Warren Township, died on Sunday December 13, 2009 at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge. Born in New York City, Domenick resided in Warren for two years. Prior to that he resided in Basking Ridge and Fort Lee. He had been employed as a Headwaiter at the Hotel Pierre in New York for thirty years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Sommelier Society of New York. He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Elvie, and two daughters, Gloria and Nancy, both of Warren. His son, Roger, who was afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy, predeceased him. Domenick and Elvie together actively supported the development of the Bergen County Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of America in the early stages of the Association's formation. Domenick was the first President of the Bergen County Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of America. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:30 am at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, followed by an 11:00am Mass Of Resurrection at Our Lady of The Mount Chapel, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Higgins Home For Funerals, Watchung.
