Obituary of Wai Loo Yuen

Bridgewater: Wai Loo Yuen died peacefully at the age of 90 on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 under the care of Bridgeway Care Center. Wai Loo was born in Shanghai, China and emigrated to the United States in 1947. She met Hoo-Sing Yuen and they married in New York in 1948, where they raised 5 children. She was a devoted wife and loving mother of 5 children and 4 grandchildren. She was a generous person to all and welcomed them into her heart and home. She was a wonderful cook and hostess to all her family and friends and was especially known and loved for her infectious smile. She was predeceased by her husband Hoo-Sing in 2000. She is survived by her 5 children, Frank, Thomas, John, Cynthia and Dan; Daughters-in-law Monique and Susan and her four grandchildren, Douglas, Christopher, Nicholas and Emily. Funeral services will be privately held at Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ. Wai Loo will be interred at her husband Hoo Sing's gravesite in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
