Obituary of Anne Campolattano

Anne (Kruzek) Campolattano, age 92, died on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at The Chelsea in Bridgewater. She was born in Cleveland, OH and had lived in Plainfield and in Hillsborough for over 40 years before moving to Bridgewater 4 years ago. Mrs. Campolattano received her Bachelor's Degree in Languages in 1940 from Montclair State University. She then went on to Columbia University where she received her Master's Degree in World Languages. She started her teaching career in Delaware and then moved to Bound Brook where she met her husband. After a short leave to raise her family, she returned to teach in Plainfield High School as the World Language Teacher. She taught there for over 30 years before retiring in 1980. Mrs. Campolattano was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Hillsborough. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilt making and all types of craftwork. She also loved animals, especially dogs. Mrs. Campolattano is survived by her husband, Vincent; her son, Michael Campolattano and his wife, Mary of Ringoes; her daughters, Linda Hagon and her husband, Robert of Milford and Annette Wilson and her husband, John of Clark; her grandchildren, Matt, Ken, Lee Anne, Samantha and Kimmie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
