Obituary of Patricia Goduti

Patricia Marie Goduti, 72 passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Frances Georgeson Hospice House in Naples, FL, with her family by her side. Born and raised in Irvington, NJ, daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Farinella, Mrs. Goduti was a long time resident of Basking Ridge and Warren NJ before moving to Naples, FL in 1987. Patricia served as Vice-President of various construction companies in New Jersey from 1960 t 1970. She worked in the travel industry for 18 years and founded a tour company specific to Global Catholic Pilgrimages. Mrs. Goduti contributed significantly to the community where she lived. She served on the board at the Brittany for six years as secretary. Her most joyous vocation was at St. Williams Church where she served for eight years as President of the Rosary Makers Society. Her friends deeply admired her strong devotion to Our Lady and she was active in the Novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help. Patricia was an avid bridge player and was well known for her debating skill. Her letters were frequently published in the Naples News and read on various radio stations. Mrs. Goduti was a member of the Naples Philharmonic League and Italian American Club. Patricia is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert Goduti and brother, Frank Farinella. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Donna of New Jersey and Lisa of North Carolina and four beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Vanessa, Nicholas and Janelle. Interment is Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2010 at St. Williams Roman Catholic Church, Naples, FL at 10:00 a.m. Please sign the guest book at naplesnews.com/obits.
