Obituary of Lois Isabel Corvino

Lois I. Corvino, age 83, died on Monday October 11, 2010 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Elizabeth, she resided in South Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield 40 years ago. Lois was a bookkeeper and salesperson at various locations in NJ. A professional card counter, she enjoyed playing poker with her family and taking trips to Atlantic City to play black jack. Her most cherished moments were spent with her loving family. Her son Robert predeceased her in 2000. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Angelo A. Corvino; two daughters, Jeannie Beaton and Lisa Lewis and her husband Steven; two sisters, Doris Jones and Ione Warchol; four grandchildren, Baron, Evan, Reynold and Maximillian and a great-granddaughter Rayne. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 2-4 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street in Plainfield. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 10 am at the Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church Chapel, 716 Watchung Avenue in Plainfield. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08818 would be appreciated.
