Kimberley Baum

Obituary of Kimberley Ann Baum

Kimberley A. Baum, died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was born in Montclair, NJ to the late Philip and Phyllis Staskewicz of Warren. Kimberley grew up in Paramus, NJ before moving to Warren in 1972. She attended Watchung Hills Regional High School and graduated from Berkeley College. Upon graduating she went to work for Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), then Lucent Technologies where she used her organizational expertise and business acumen as a Project Manager. Kimberley continued in Project Management, most recently at Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick as a Sr. Project Manager working on the HR Transformation Project. In 1982 Kimberley married her high school sweetheart Wesley Baum (of Warren). They lived briefly in New Vernon, then Clinton before moving, in 1993, to their current residence in Bridgewater. From a young age, Kimberley could light up a room. To know her was to be attracted to her. Not just because of her outward beauty, but for her grace, personality and confidence. Kimberley had so many friends because you wanted to be her friend. Her friendship was a gift. Kimberley loved her life, protected her children and was devoted to her best friend and husband Wes. Although Kimberley's life would seem too short, and painfully short for her family, those that were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time she spent with us. Whether working in her magnificent backyard garden, sunning herself with friends on the beach in Wildwood Crest, boating at Lake Hopatcong or riding on the back of Wes's Harley, Kimberley was enjoying life and if you were with her, you were too. Kimberley is survived by her husband of 28 years, Wesley; her daughter Whitney, son Spencer, and her precious standard poodle Vienna. Her sistersLori England (Warrenton, VA) her husband Robert and their son Brandon; Wendy Regina-Vasquez (Princeton), her husband Joe and their children Laura, Joseph, Bradley, Katie and Colin. Her brother-in-law Kevin Baum (Bridgewater), his wife Patti and their children Kevin and Joseph. Kimberley is predeceased by her father Philip and brother Craig Staskewicz, her mother- and father-in-law Rose and Charles Baum and brother-in-law Michael Regina. Visitation will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals , 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung on Wednesday from 5-8 PM only. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, the family would be most appreciative if donations were made in her memory to the National Lung Cancer Partnership 222 Midvale Blvd. Suite 6, Madison, WI 53705 www.nationallungcancerpartnership.org
