Obituary of Alexander Michael Bozzay

Alexander Michael Bozzay, age 84, died peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2011 at his home. He was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Somerset before moving to Martinsville in 1958. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he worked for Ford Motor Company in Edison in the Parts Inventory Department for 42 years. He was a member UAW Local 908. Mr. Bozzay was a Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. He watched sports, especially the Jets, Yankees and Mets. He enjoyed spending the holidays with Carol and Randy, Beverly and Tommy and Frank and Cheryl. He would often spend time chatting with his nephews, David and Michael at their real estate office in Martinsville. He was an avid historical and religious material reader. He enjoyed family and traveling and was devoted to his wife of 44 years until her passing in 1996. He also spent time talking to his friend and neighbor, Paul. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary K. (Santini) Bozzay in 1996 and his faithful companion, Puddee, his cat. He is survived by his daughter, Michele Bozzay-Lockwood and her husband Gary of Belmar; his granddaughter, Samantha Lockwood of State College, PA; his dear family friends, Phyllis and Mickey Hovan of Branchburg and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville followed by interment at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
