Obituary of Virginia Lynch

Virginia (Ginny) Timmons Lynch died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Montclair, she grew up in Verona and moved to Martinsville in 1980. Mrs. Lynch was employed for the past ten years as a librarian at the Berkeley Heights Library. She received a Bachelors degree in History from Upsala College in East Orange and a Masters degree in Library Science from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Virginia enjoyed history, especially researching genealogy. Her parents, Desmond and Helen Egan Timmons and a sister, Eleanor Godfrey all predeceased her. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Paul E. Lynch; three sons, Brett D. of Bensalem, PA, Gavin T. of Jersey City and Jed A. Lynch of Hoboken; a daughter, Penelope J. Lynch of Martinsville and a brother, John Timmons of Birmingham, AL. Friends and relatives are welcome to meet for a Mass of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:30 am followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Blvd., in Watchung.
