Obituary of Philip Bruce Kline

Philip Bruce Kline Engineer and former stock car racer, lived in Somerville Philip Bruce Kline, 55, of Cary, N.C., formerly of Somerville, N.J., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Bruce will be honored from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, N.J. Bruce was born Aug. 18, 1961, in New Brunswick, N.J., to the late Philip and Mildred Kline. Bruce proudly worked as a field service engineer at FEI Company. In his younger years, Bruce raced stock cars and later enjoyed attending and watching the races. Bruce liked to be active and participated in many activities, including country line dancing, hiking, roller skating, go-karting, volleyball, pickleball, and eating ice cream. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He is survived by his "everything but wife," Lynne Brotman; three beloved daughters, Melissa Kline, Nicole Kline, and Jenna Dertina (Ryan); grandson, Aiden; sister, Irene Padula, as well as other family members and friends.
