Obituary of Dorothy Morella

Dorothy Morella- Retired Nurse Dorothy entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 30, 2016 at her home in Warren where she had lived since 1972. She was a registered nurse graduating from Somerset County College in 1985. She was a charge nurse at Summit Hospital, Summit, retiring in 2000. She was a certified Massage Therapist graduating from Somerset School of Massage in 1996. She was a communicant member of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. She was predeceased by her husband John C Morella, Jr on October 1, 1983, and her son, John C. Morella, III on January 12, 2006. Surviving are her children and their spouses: Twin sons Robert and wife Cindy Stacey of Tennessee; Ronald and wife Deborah of Oregon, son Daniel and wife Karen of Oregon, son Matthew and his wife Shera of South Carolina, son Christopher of Warren; a daughter Cindy and husband William Regan of Virginia and daughter-in-law Donna Morella of Basking Ridge, NJ. Also, 16 grandchildren; John, Joseph, Robert, Kristen, Daniel, Ronnie Louise, Stephen, Jacob, Norma, Jenni, Kyle and Cali Morella; Gary Kambeck, Zachary Barnard and Emily Harder. Also, 8 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Kamryn, Emma, Lexi, Kyli, Cody, Fiona, and Lucia. She is also survived by a sister Margaret Lyman of Belle Meade, and sister Gladys Cortazzo and husband Steve Cortazzo of South Carolina. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Suba on January 12, 2003. Her greatest joy in life came from family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals in Watchung, NJ. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a mass of the resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount, in Warren, NJ at 10:30 am. Internment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield, NJ.
