Obituary of David Waldron

David R. Waldron of Bridgewater, N.J., passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Home for Funerals, Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, N.J., on Monday, March 13, from 2 - 4 P.M. and 7 - 9 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Church of St. James, South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, N.J., at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, March 15. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mt. Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, N.J. David is a graduate of St. Peter's University, Jersey City, NJ, and earned his Master's degree at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, N.J. He was employed at L'Oréal in their offices in Clark, N.J., and New York City, N.Y. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. David was raised in North Plainfield, N. J., by his late parents,Michael and Kathleen (Henry) Waldron. He was predeceased by his brothers, Vincent, Morris Plains, N.J., and Arthur, Cranford, N.J. Survivors include David's wife, Joanne (Gallagher) Waldron, son, Brian Waldron (Helayne), Martinsville, N.J., daughters, Elizabeth Boothe (Douglas), Chester Twsp., N.J., Maren Klein (Robert), Warren, N.J., and Meredith Furstner (Andrew), Holland Twsp., N.J. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Alexander, James, Caroline and William Boothe, Gillian and Ainsley Klein, Hunter and Hailey Waldron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Department of Pediatrics, for research for pediatric cancer.
