Obituary of Tehfah James Ho

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Tehfah James Ho, who left us on Monday, December 18, 2023, in Green Brook, New Jersey. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 6, 1952, James's journey through life was one of dedication, love, and professional commitment.

James's early life in Taipei laid the foundation for his remarkable journey. He moved to the United States in 1976 after marrying his high school sweetheart, Yenchun, a union that remained strong until his last days. His life in America saw him residing in various places, including Rhode Island, Queens, New York, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, and finally, Warren, New Jersey since 1997.

An alumnus of Tamkang University, Taiwan, with a degree in International Business, James furthered his education at the University of Rhode Island, earning a Master's Degree in Accounting. His professional career was a testament to his expertise in accounting, serving various companies in similar roles with great dedication. In 1989, he realized a long-held dream by establishing Tehfah James Ho, CPA Accounting Firm, a firm he passionately led until his passing.

Beyond his profession, James found joy throughout life. He had a passion for stock trading, fancy cars, and a love for good food, especially a well-prepared steak or a mountain of dumplings. He cherished his travels to destinations like Spain, England, and Thailand, and always enjoyed visiting his home country of Taiwan. His favorite music ranged from Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Denver to Teresa Teng.  His greatest joy, however, was found in the company of his family, particularly his grandchildren who quickly learned Wai Gong’s pockets were lined with candy.

James also enjoyed his quiet moments, often seen with his iPad or a newspaper, a testament to his adaptability and continuous learning.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Yenchun Ho; daughters Carol Gioia (Adam) and Eileen Ho (James Kraehenbuehl); grandchildren Marcello, Jasmine, James, and Adelaide; and five siblings.
