Obituary of Denis R. Rybkiewicz

Watchung: Denis R Rybkiewicz, age 69, died on Friday August 11, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center. He was born and Raised in Newark, lived in Springfield, MA for two years, then lived in North Plainfield for four years, before moving to Watchung 37 years ago. Mr. Rybkiewicz graduated from Western New England College in Springfield, MA with a Bachelor of Science in 1970 and from NJIT in Newark, NJ with his Master's in Business Administration in 1985. He served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1968. Mr. Rybkiewicz was the founder and President of Intertek Laboratories Inc. in Stirling for the past 28 years. He was a past member of St Mary's Stony Hill Church in Watchung. Mr. Rybkiewicz was a train enthusiast who enjoyed sailing, restoring cars and trucks, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father Walter Rybkiewicz in 1978. Mr. Rybkiewicz is survived by his loving wife Patricia; his two sons Ken and his wife Sherri and Jon and his fiancée Melissa; his two grandsons Wesley and Ben; and his mother Catherine. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. Friends and Family are welcome to gather at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday before an 11:15 a.m. committal service at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
