Obituary of Fedele J. “Fred” Vachino

Warren: Mr. Fedele Fred Vachino, 92, son of the late Ferdinando and Letizia )Riconda) Vachino, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights. Born in Settimo Rottaro, Italy, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 8 with his family, settling in New York and moved to New Jersey in 1944. Mr. Vachino founded Fred Vachino & Sons, Inc., a pressure washing and steam cleaning in Elizabeth in 1950, retiring 6 months ago. He was a member of St. Marys Stony Hill Church in Watchung and the Police Reserves in Warren and Elizabeth. Mr. Vachino was an avid hunter. Surviving are his wife, Mary Nahrebne, two sons, Rinaldo and his wife Edvarda of Elizabeth; Fred and his wife Beth of Manchester, a daughter, Barbara Shapp and her husband Ray of Watchung, a brother, Rinaldo Vachino of Germany, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Stony Hill R.C. church in Watchung followed by entombment at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Kenilworth.
