Obituary of Henry J Walsh

Henry "Hank" Walsh Bridgewater: Henry J. Walsh, age 79, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Hank has resided in Bridgewater for the past 47 years. Hank received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He began his career at Bell Laboratories, ultimately retiring from AT&T as Senior Corporate Counsel. He continued his career at Gibbons P.C. in Newark, NJ as the Director of the Intellectual Property Department. At the time of his death, Henry was Of Counsel at Wildenhain Crino P.C. in Warren, NJ. Hank was very involved in Bridgewater Township. He was an elected member of the Bridgwater Township Council and an appointed member of the Bridgewater Planning Board. Henry also served as the municipal attorney for Bridgewater, NJ from 1999-2002. Hank enjoyed restoring sailboats and traveling to his vacation homes in the Poconos and Stella, NC. Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Franks; his children, Laura Castro and her husband, Pepe, Jeanne May and her husband, JP, Christopher Walsh, and Maureen Kramer and her husband, Shane; his brother, Tom Walsh; his grandchildren, Dillon, Mason, Ginger, Henry, Lindsay, Griffin and Phoebe; and his great-grandson, Leland. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass Of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville. Interment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
