Obituary of Geneva C. Glasco

Geneva C. (Chambers) Glasco, died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in South Carolina, she resided in Rock Hill, South Carolina before moving to Plainfield in 1942. Mrs. Glasco was a member of St. John's Baptist Church in Scotch Plains, working in the nurses unit at the church for 6 years. She loved to cook, especially southern cuisine. Her husband William L. Glasco predeceased her in 1999. Surviving are two sons Allen Glasco, Sr. of Delaware and Donald C. Glasco of Landsdown, PA, two daughters, Jean W. Johnson of Plainfield and Marie Granford of Salisbury, NC, 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 9:00am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, followed by a 10:00am Service at St. John's Baptist Church, 2387 Morse Ave., Scotch Plains and entombment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
