Obituary of Samuel Popick

Samuel Popick, 98, died on Monday, July 24, 2005 at St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital in Quakertown, PA. He was born in Russia and had formerly lived in Landsdale and North Wales, PA and Hillside, NJ. Mr. Popick was employed as a newspaper delivery person for the Newspaper and Mail Deliverers Union of New York for many years. He is predeceased by his wife, Marian Scharago Popick in July 1987; and his parents, Mr. Mrs. Jacob Popick. Surviving are his 2 sons, Fred Popick and his wife, Iris of Florida and Harry Popick of California; his 2 grandchildren, Sanford of Hawaii and Shayna of California; 2 nieces, Eta and her husband Sy Kaplan of CT and Phyllis Scharago of NJ and many dear friends, especially John & Barbara Siegfried of Landsdale, PA and Kathy Clancy of Sellersville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2005 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield, NJ followed by interment at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
