Obituary of Violet Zdunowski

Violet Zdunowski, age 99, died on Friday January 28th at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Mrs. Zdunowski was born in Newark and had lived in Basking Ridge with her Niece Lorraine Visotski since 1994 formerly of Warren, Hillside and Irvington. She was a Coil Winder for Ram Electronics in Bloomfield retiring in the 1960s. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren and was a former member of Christ the King Church in Hillside; she was also a member of the Warren Senior Citizens and the Warrenbrook Nutrition Center. Violet was known as outgoing and friendly person and was proud of her polish heritage. She is predeceased by her husband Edward, a daughter Barbara Vail, a grandson Robert Vail, and four sisters. Surviving are a grandson John Vail; 2 great grandchildren Dawn and Paul Vail; a sister Jean Ciszeski and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 3rd at Higgins Home For Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
