Obituary of Gerardo A. Rivera

North Plainfield: Gerardo A. Rivera, age 73, died on Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. Born in San Salvadore to the late Ricardo and Maria Rivera Englehard, Mr. Rivera had lived in California for awhile before residing in North Plainfield. Mr. Rivera was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Burbank, CA. He enjoyed traveling and playing the lottery. He is survived by his wife, Petrona Bertha Rivera; two sons, Ricardo Englehard and Jose Rivera both of CA; two daughters, Anna G. Flores of Miami, FL and Delmy Munoz of North Plainfield; a brother Rafael Rivera and a sister, Mabel Englehard both of San Salvadore. Fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1st at 10 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
