Obituary of Antoinette Louise Petrella

Antoinette Louise Panella Petrella, age 77, died on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at her home. Born and raised in Plainfield to the late Frank Panella Sr. and Rose Mancini, Mrs. Petrella had lived in Scotch Plains 40 years, and then moved to Mountainside four years ago. Mrs. Petrella worked for the Warlaw-Hartridge School in Edison for many years. She is a former communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Scotch Plains and was also a member of their Holy Rosary Society. She is now a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Mountainside. Mrs. Petrella worked as a volunteer at St. Bernards School in Plainfield and also volunteered at Muhlenberg Hospital. She believed in donating to the Salvation Army, the Boys Club of America and especially her parish. She is survived by her husband, Anthony F. Petrella; her daughter, Kathleen A. Sullivan; her granddaughter, Kristina Danielle and her grandson, Anthony Eric; her sister, Frances Fotia; her brother, Adamando Sonny Panella; brother-in-law Patrick Petrella and his wife Louise; three sister-in-laws, Ann and Zelda Panella, Doris Petrella; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4th at 8:45 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Mountainside. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
